A new Dual Head Coater for the Paint Line at the Glenbrook Steel Mill has been successfully commissioned. Investing in this equipment allows New Zealand Steel to support current COLORSTEEL® demand and future growth projections of our domestic and Pacific Island markets. In addition to increased throughput, the Dual Head Coater also provides a reduction in Green House Gas intensity per tonne of painted product produced.

Local Marae Gets Major Revamp
When Ngati Te Ata reached out to New Zealand Steel for support in the repair of the whare oranga (place of well-being) roof at Tahuna Marae, the team quickly assessed the community's need and agreed to help. Tread Lightly programmes aim to teach Auckland students and their families of the environmental consequences of their everyday lives, and to inspire positive behaviour change to create actual environmental benefits.

Trees for Survival
Trees for Survival is a charitable trust which works with over 150 schools and local communities across New Zealand to grow and plant native trees along waterways and on erosion prone hillsides.
