Electric Arc Furnace, Process Change

Learn more about the planned installation of an Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) within the next 3 years, as part of the move to lower carbon production.

The Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) is designed to replace two of the four rotary kilns that process the ironsand, one of the two melters and the KOBM steelmaking vessel.

All operations downstream of slab and billet caster would remain unchanged.
